Sayre is a new Brisbane apartment development located in Gallway Street, Windsor. The 56-apartment project was launched in December 2018, with two and three bedroom apartments on offer. Every apartment has large balconies or courtyards, along with high ceilings and larger-than-normal bedrooms. Prices start at $527,500.
The building is named after Zelda Sayre, the popular art deco figure and wife of F. Scott Fitzgerald, author of The Great Gatsby. The name is designed to reflect the Art Deco influence the architect as attempted to capture.
Located in Gallway Street, Sayre is in a small pocket of Windsor that even many Brisbane locals would not be familiar with. Tucked in between the Inner City Bypass, the M7 tunnel to the Gold Coast, the Bowen Hills rail yards and Bowen Bridge Road, one would think it is a very busy pocket. And yet it is just that little bit isolated from everything going on around it. Access to major transport routes is excellent and the residents will also be within walking distance of the Royal Brisbane Hospital, a major employment hub.
There is also easy access to numerous bike paths and whilst beside the Bowen Hill rail yards (maintenance only so noise will be limited) access to train services is realistically difficult with a walk to the Bowen Hills Station possible but not practical.
Given its location Sayre will likely appeal to young professionals working in the city or inner-city area (such as the RBH) or investors as rental demand should be strong for these same reasons.
With a number of competitive projects in the area currently available, we recommend a personal discussion with our local suburb expert to determine which project will be best for you. Please enquire below to organise a personal appointment or discussion.
