This week marks the completion and grand opening of one of the Gold Coast’s most anticipated new projects, Otto Mermaid Beach. Sitting just 300 metres from the ocean, the luxuriously-finished apartments offer buyers the best of Mermaid Beach’s village lifestyle at their fingertips. After over a year of construction, July 2019 marks the official completion of this project, with PropertyMash being granted an exclusive look at what awaits buyers inside.
The fully-furnished, on-site display suite at Otto will celebrate its grand opening on Saturday the 13th July 2019, from 10am to 3pm at 1 Bondi Avenue, Mermaid Beach for a day that will celebrate all that Mermaid Beach has to offer.
While owners lucky enough to have purchased off-the-plan apartments will be moving in within the next few weeks, there are still brand new apartments remaining for sale — perfect for those who are keen to get started on living their dream village lifestyle by the beach right away. Otto offers two-bedroom apartments starting at $519,900 and three-bedroom apartments starting at just $769,900.
On our onsite visit to the brand new display suite, these are the things that impressed us about Otto:
Otto is the eight and more recent building to be completed by the prolific developer, Morris Property Group on the Gold Coast in the last 12 years. These projects represent a key transformation in the Gold Coast apartment market. Where many new apartment developments were once targeting overseas and interstate investors, Morris’ Coastal Collection have mostly been developed specifically for Gold Coast locals. Additionally, Morris has either in market or under construction Sandbar, Koko and Opus, each designed to emulate the ideal beachside lifestyle, with open-plan layouts and large balconies to capitalise on those beautiful sea breezes.
Otto, in particular, is focused on delivering the village lifestyle of Mermaid Beach through ‘vertical beach houses’ which offer the best the suburb has to offer right at your fingertips. Just a short walk to the beach, local coffee, trendy restaurants and dining options as well as the world-renowned Pacific Fair just a few minutes drive away. The apartments themselves offer a luxury entry lobby with secure basement car parking as well as floor-to-floor security for lift access to each level. There are still a few apartments remaining with ocean views, although the larger apartments with expansive views out over the hinterland are certainly not to be overlooked.
We would love to hear your thoughts on this project.
