Robina is a prominent suburb in the city of the Gold Coast. Robina was established in the 1980s after developers began dredging and reshaping the previously farmed land. The master-planned suburb spans 15-square kilometres in the Gold Coast’s mid-south, and is built around three lakes (Robina Waters, Lake Orr, and West Lake). Now home to about 26,000 people, the Gold Coast suburb has continued to grow with almost $1 billion of new commercial, residential and infrastructure projects earmarked or underway.
The Gold Coast’s second largest shopping precinct is Robina Town Centre. Robina has other excellent facilities including Robina Hospital, Australia’s leading private university Bond University and CBUS Super sports stadium, which is home to the Gold Coast Titans. The suburb also boasts its own Greg Norman-designed golf course at The Glades, which is well-loved by golf enthusiasts throughout Queensland.

Things we love…
- Robina is close to all Gold Coast attractions including beaches and entertainment precincts, like Movie World, Dreamworld, and Wet ‘n’ Wild
- Watching the Gold Coast Titans take on competitors at the CBUS Super stadium
- The good choice of primary and high schools, with Bond University at residents’ doorsteps
- Pedestrian pathways, outside workout equipment and Greg Norman-inspired golf course all help residents to take advantage of the great outdoors
- Plenty of aged care providers are set up in the vicinity to help elderly residents
- Great work opportunities in the precinct makes living close to work viable
But remember that
- Some parts of the suburb are still undergoing construction, so you can expect a little noise and traffic delays
- When an event is being held at the CBUS Stadium, it can get a little busy (but if you’re a local you’ll know all the sneaky back roads anyway)
Developments
Set to open in 2021 is a sprawling 20-hectare park, called Robina City Parklands and located along Mudgeeraba Creek near CBUS Super sports stadium. Lifestyle
Robina is a very family-friendly suburb, due to the mixture of public and private schools, large amounts of parkland, and the short commute to the beach, Gold Coast CBD, and hinterland. There is also a hospital and medical precinct, which is always handy to have close by!
Robina Town Centre is the main hub for all shopping, dining and entertainment in the area. As the suburb is growing, it is becoming more and more sought-after, particularly by interstate buyers, families and downsizers.
