The One Apartments is located at 89 Victoria Street, West End. The One is be situated a few meters from the Brisbane River. West End is known for it’s trendy and hip coffee shops, restaurants (especially for brunch) and markets. On the corner of Montague Road and Jane street is the West End Farmers Markets, which is one of the largest farmers markets in Brisbane, which is open every Saturday from 6am – 2pm.
The One Apartments is located is a super convenient location, with public transport on Montague Rd excellent and a broad selection of restaurants and bars within walking distance. However with Victoria Street being located off Montague Road there may be some traffic noise at peak times. The One Apartments is located further down Victoria Street however so this may not be a significant issue.
To capitalise on the city fringe location and views there is a rooftop terrace on level 9 with a pool, outdoor BBQ and bench top, Gym, and a communal kitchen and dining area.
The One Apartments has commenced construction, with completion to be late Q4 2018 or early Q1 2019.
The One Apartments has 61 apartments over 8 levels; there are 14 one (1) bedroom apartments, 46 two (2) bedroom apartments and 1 three (3) bedroom penthouse. All Living rooms and Bedrooms have air conditioning and ceiling fans.
One (1) bedroom apartments are priced from $386,000 which is under the average one bedroom apartment price in West End which is $396,000. Two (2) bedroom apartments are priced from $560,000 which is slightly over the average price of two bedroom apartments in West End which is $494,000, but is by now means expensive for a new 2 bedroom apartment in West End.
The One Apartments have a range of communal amenities available which is consistent with this size of building being built in West End and inner city Brisbane at the moment. However given the apartment prices, particularly the one bedrooms, they are quite attractive and impressive. The rooftop consists of a 12 m pool, communal dining area, gym, BBQ’s and an outdoor bar area for entertaining. The rooftop retreat should have great city views.
One Apartments has ample space for parking with a three level underground car park which each apartment has an allocated a car park. There were 3 additional car spaces to be purchased, which are priced at $50,000. Each car park comes with a wall mounted bike rack, perfect for those who ride to and from work. Census data shows that West End is one of the least car dependent suburbs of Brisbane, which is due in large part to the range of amenities and facilities all within walking or riding range.
Each level comes with a garbage chute.

West End is known for its relaxed bohemian vibe and alternate take on urban living. The Locals describe West End as “Like Byron Bay meets the city.” “Its got the chilled atmosphere of Byron Bay but the hustle and energy of the city”. The main street that the locals head to is Boundary street where you can find great restaurants, cafes and hole in the wall coffee shops but also browse the local vintage clothing stores or head to the farmers market. As the locals said it is Bryon meets the city.
Most of the development around West End is occurring along Montague Road and the streets that offset Montague Road.

The “Classic Light” colour scheme uses lighter tones with white cabinetry throughout the kitchen and bathrooms with golf tap ware and accents. The different “Contemporary Dark” colour scheme has grey cabinetry with matte black tap ware and accents.
All apartments come with timber laminate flooring throughout the kitchen, dining and living rooms (a nice feature and one we like – often timber flooring is an upgrade), wool carpet in the bedrooms and large porcelain tiles throughout the bathrooms with a herringbone pattern in the shower.
The kitchens are be equipped with Bosch appliances. This includes a dishwasher, electric over, 4 burner gas cook top and a range hood. The benches in both the kitchens and the bathrooms are reconstituted stone with a tiled splash back behind the bench and cook top.
All in all the finishes are on par with similar projects in West End, although the included timber laminate floors is a nice additional touch.
