With townhouses that rival the size of some traditional houses in Canberra, Rockwell is a project that will appeal to professionals and families alike. The two and three-bedroom townhouses sit close to a number of universities and employment hubs.
Rockwell Bruce is a new townhouse project located in Bruce, Canberra. The 53 two and three-bedroom apartments have recently been given DA approval, so construction is expected to begin in the coming months.
One feature that we particularly love about Rockwell is the environmentally-friendly design. With double-glazed windows and sliding doors that promote thermal performance and acoustics, Rockwell has a number of inclusions that will help to keep electricity bills down in the long term (which is great for the environment and for your wallet).
There are five different floor plan options, four of which are three-bedroom designs and one two-bedroom design. Interiors are between 1,335m² and 1,885m² in size. All of the kitchens will include AEG appliances, soft-close drawers and stone benchtops. The courtyards are slightly larger than normal (external areas are roughly 410 — 530m²). All of the townhouses also have wooden floors as standard, which really helps to elevate the space. Each townhouse also has two car parks.
The display suite for Rockwell sits onsite at 33 Braybrook Street, Bruce and is open by appointment. To make an appointment to view the display suite, please use the enquiry form below.
Construction has not started but is expected to commence in the coming months. Please check back soon for more information.
Located at 33 Braybrook Street, Bruce, Rockwell is just under 20 minutes from the Canberra CBD. The townhouses are close to Gungahlin Drive, which is one of the main roads heading in and out of the CBD, making access quite easy. Of course, trips to the city aren’t necessary due to the local amenities and industries that are located within the Bruce area. The area surrounding Rockwell is an employment hub with a number of government offices within 10-minutes drive of the townhouses.
Rockwell is also just up the road from CIT Bruce (the Canberra Institute of Technology), which is great for anyone currently in tertiary education or considering taking a short course to boost their career. The University of Canberra is five minutes away if you drive (on that note: there are a number of great cafes dotted around the neighbourhood, particularly near the universities). Sports lovers will like the area as well. The Canberra Raiders also call that area home, so popping down to watch a home game is easy. The Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) is a street away.
There are a number of other amenities also close by. The Fern Hill Park and playground are a 5-minutes walk from Rockwell. The Calvary Hospital is five minutes drive down the road and the Canberra Airport is about 20-minutes drive away. If you’re searching for a scenic walk with great photo opportunities, the Bruce Pink Lake is a few minutes drive away.
There will be no ‘proper’ communal facilities at Rockwell as each of the townhouses are self-contained. However, residents will have access to an internal atrium which will house a resident’s garden.

Rockwell is being developed by Glav Corp, a Canberra-based and family-owned property developer. They have been in the industry for more than 40 years. Other projects of theirs include Uptown Gungahlin and Azure Kingston Foreshore.
