The Bradfield is an apartment and townhouses development located in the sought-after Canberra suburb of Downer. The project, which will be built over a few stages, is also set to include a retirement village once complete.
There are two and three-bedroom options for the townhouses and apartments. Each of these has been designed with young professionals and small families in mind, with functionality as important as style.
JANUARY 2020: Construction on Stage 1 of The Bradfield is well underway. Only three of the 37 townhouses are still for sale: two two-bedroom townhouses priced from $619,900, and one three-bedroom townhouse priced from $839,900. Completion is expected in March 2020.
The display suite for The Bradfield is located onsite at 61 Bradfield Street, Downer.
The Bradfield is a mixed-use development located on the site of a former primary school in Downer. The entire development is designed so that it is a modern reflection of the surrounding heritage listed houses, and so is finished to a high quality. The exteriors feature modern designs with wooden finishes to soften them, and help them integrate with the surrounding landscaping. The townhouses also all have their own courtyards and garages, along with ensuite bathrooms. The townhouses are priced from $615,500 for a two-bedroom townhouse and $639,900 for a three-bedroom townhouse.
The four-storey apartment project offers all of the same upgrade options to apartment owners, including timber floor upgrades. There are also 20 different floor plans to choose between, offering buyers the chance to pick the apartment that suits their wants and needs. The apartments are priced from $319,900 for one bedrooms, $439,900 for the two-bedroom apartments, and $579,900 for the three-bedroom apartments.
There are high-quality finishes in both the apartments and the townhouses at The Bradfield. They all have ducted reverse-cycle air conditioning, and all of the windows and sliding doors are double glazed (which is ideal for the Canberra weather). The kitchens have stone benchtops with a shadow line finish, which adds something a little extra to the space, and there is an option to add timber floors and heated bathroom floors in the townhouses.
Residents will have access to a number of open green spaces, which are designed so that they can host everything from picnics to workouts and parties.
The Bradfield is located just down the road from the Downer Shops, which are expected to improve the lifestyle accessibility of the area once complete. With offerings including the well-known Gang Gang Cafe and popular yoga studio, here, the village-style hub is bound to have something for everyone. The Dickson Shopping Precinct is just a little further down the road, and is host to a number of shopping and dining options. There aren’t a lot of schools in Downer, but residents can send their children to Our Lady of the Rosary Primary School, and if they’re studying themselves, the Australian Catholic University has its Canberra has its campus close by.
At the time of writing the body corporate fees for The Bradford are not set, but are expected to be lower than similar projects. Please check back with us soon for an update.
