Elysian Broadbeach is the newest development to add to the Gold Coast skyline, situated at 185 Old Burleigh Road. Developers, Spyre Group, acquired the 825 square-metre site which was previously home to an older block of eight units in May of 2017. Construction is now well underway and the apartments are due for completion by the 2nd quarter of 2020.

  • 20 storeys with two, three, and four bedroom apartments available priced from $835,000
  • Located at 185 Old Burleigh Road
  • Construction is well underway
  • Residents at Elysian will benefit from the inclusion of a virtual concierge system known as My Butler

The Project

Construction on Elysian Broadbeach apartments is scheduled to be complete by the second quarter of 2020, and over 75% of the apartments are already sold. The development is situated right on the beach at Broadbeach, and is twenty-one stories high With a maximum of four apartments per floor, privacy and a sense of exclusivity will be noticeable. One beachfront-style villa on the lower three levels is selling from $1.695 million. It has direct street access to the front door and the living area is spread over three levels. The penthouse ‘Sky Homes’ at Elysian will set you back a cool $3.05 million, and have views over the water and the city.

The building shape is definitely worth noting. With the incorporation of additional glazing that overlaps the external east side of some balconies, sees the creation of what appears to be a curved building. With floor-to-ceiling glass in all apartments, an abundance of natural light and the beach views are brought in.

The two-bedroom apartments range from 79m² to a sizable 131m², with variable balcony space for each floor plan. The design remains open-plan throughout all of the fifteen different floor plans.

Combined with a virtual concierge system, My Butler, which is designed to not only assist in booking both onsite facilities and local services (car-washes, cleaners, dry-cleaning) but provide a communication portal with building managers and residents, innovation is at the heart of the design.

The Location

Elysian Broadbeach apartments are popping up right behind Pratten Park, a mere 70m from the beachfront, at 185 Old Burleigh Road, Broadbeach. Situated between Mermaid Beach and Surfers Paradise, the vibrant community of Broadbeach is right at the doorstep. Within a 500 metre radius of the building, you’ll find Broadbeach State School and two different dining precincts: Surf Parade Dining Precinct and Oracle Dining/Retail Precinct. The newly-renovated Kurrarwa Surf Club also sneaks in there at just under half a kilometre away. The location of Elysian right on this corner block, with the school across the road on one side, and the ocean and park out to the East, means there’s zero chance of your expansive views being built out.

With a location towards the Southern end of Broadbeach, the Elysian apartments will be tucked away from the bustling centre of the township, which is definitely an appealing aspect for owners.

A little further away, (only 600m behind Elysian) you’ll find Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, Woolworths and Coles, Gold Coast Exhibition Centre and The Star Casino — all within walking distance.

Old Burleigh Road can be accessed from either Hooker Boulevard (coming off Southport Burleigh Road) or along the Gold Coast Highway. The Elysian building is situated right on the corner of Old Burleigh Road, which runs parallel to the beach, and Margaret Street. There are three different resorts on Margaret Street, so expect to see quite a few tourists around the area (which is fairly standard for most suburbs on the Gold Coast).

Communal Facilities

In the building itself, Elysian has a sauna room as well as a fully-equipped gym and yoga studio. Level 2 features a dining area for residents and their guests to enjoy. The pool, also situated on the second floor, has great views out to the ocean and architecturally designed glass panelling.

The automated parking system and My Butler virtual concierge are also two key features of this development. The automated car parking system is on standby to park your car for you at any time of day. When pulling into the car park, simply stop your car on the automated carousel, push a few buttons and that’s all you have to do. The parking system will then safely park your car for you in the secure carpark underneath the building. The My Butler concierge system is also available 24/7.
