With a catchy project name, Qube Broadbeach has finished qonstruction on the Gold Qoast. (Apologies. I had to get it out of my system… please proceed with qonfidence there will be no more Q jokes) (As of now). These apartments have great views out to the hinterland, ocean and river stretching from Surfers Paradise to Burleigh. Underneath this plaza sits the secure car park, with one to two spaces available per apartment. Half an acre of amenities is available on the recreation deck which features a pool and spa. The lowest-level apartments are situated on Level 5, above the recreational deck.
The display suite for Qube Broadbeach is open daily 10am – 3pm on site at 31 Queensland Avenue, Broadbeach. There are three display apartments open on Level 37. PropertyMash recently visited the display suites to give buyers an insiders perspective. Check out what we thought below!
Qube Broadbeach is located at 31 Queensland Avenue, Broadbeach. It’s four streets back from the beach and about 150m in front of the Gold Coast Highway. Directly across the other side of the highway lies the Gold Coast Convention Centre. Next to Qube sits another apartment development, Synergy, which was also a project by Morris Property Group completed in 2015.
A patrolled beach is only 300m away from Qube — perfect for an early morning swim to get the blood pumping or a leisurely Sunday afternoon spent sprawled out on the sand. Qube’s location right in the middle of Broadbeach means public transport access is easy. The North Broadbeach light rail station is a three-minute walk away, and the bus system can be accessed from the corner of Queensland Avenue and Old Burleigh Road, a five-minute walk away. While the bus system is more comprehensive, the G:Link light rail system is definitely a big plus for the Gold Coast, with trams running every seven minutes or so. The G:Link is growing in popularity allowing residents and tourists to get from their hotels and homes to Surfer’s Paradise, Griffith University and The Gold Coast Hospital without needing a car.
Directly across Queensland Avenue from Qube Broadbeach is a large retail and dining precinct, with plenty of internationally inspired restaurants to get you through the week without eating the same thing twice. Federation Park is just down the road, and Kurrawa Park is just a little further down with an excellent playground for the little ones. The Oasis shopping centre is also 350-metres walk away, with plenty of retail and dining options there too in the newly renovated al fresco dining area. There are also new boutique shops and restaurants popping up all the time around the expanding Oracle Boulevard at the back of the shopping centre. For those who are partial to a touch of retail therapy, you can’t go past Pacific Fair. Only six-minutes drive away from Qube Broadbeach, Pacific Fair has over 400 retailers, with luxury brands aplenty.
In terms of local schools, Broadbeach State School is 1.4km away, or a lovely 15-minute walk. For seniors, Merrimac State High School is less than 10-minutes drive away. Griffith University is 20 minutes drive away in Southport and Southern Cross University is 30 minutes in the other direction, down near Tweed Heads.
The amenities deck on Level 4 of Qube Broadbeach apartments features all of the resort-style facilities you could imagine. Spread out over half an acre, the whole area is landscaped with tropical gardens and tall trees, giving the floor a lovely sense of privacy from the apartments above. On this deck, you will find a fully-equipped gym, outdoor spa and pool, poolside cabanas, a separate terrace area for lounging, BBQ facilities and… A PIZZA OVEN.
The ground floor of Qube Broadbeach will be a retail level, with boutiques coffee shops and restaurants. Underneath the building is a secure carpark for residents and visitors. Most two-bedroom apartments offer one car space (with the two-bedrooms on Level 40 offering 2) and the three-bedroom apartments come with two spaces as standard (some tandem, some side-by-side).
There is a range of floor plans available, with two-bedroom apartments ranging from $609,900 to $895,000 and three-bedroom apartments starting from $1.85 million and ranging to $1.695 million. All the apartments have two bathrooms and a balcony. The two-bedroom apartments have one car space, with the three bedrooms offer two spaces. The two-bedroom apartments are located on Level 5 to Level 40, with the three-bedrooms starting on level 27. The total area for the two-bedroom apartments is an average of 112 square metres. The largest of the two-bedroom apartments also has a study nook. The three-bedroom apartments range from 170m² to 182m² with very large balconies. The ceiling height is a standard 2.6m high, with large windows throughout which makes these apartments feel quite light and airy (even those with smaller balconies). The balconies are located close to the living space and kitchen, meaning your living areas have a lot of natural light and air flowing through.
The proximity to the highway might mean there’s some traffic noise, especially for rooms towards the back of the building. To cater for this, all apartments’ windows in Qube are acoustically treated to reduce the noise impact on the apartments. On the other hand, being that close to the highway is great for public transport and driving around the coast. The proximity to the beach means you’ll get plenty of fresh sea breezes from both the north-east and south-east facing apartments.
The three different floor plan options available for two-bedroom apartments at Qube Broadbeach are all quite different from each other, giving the buyer the chance to select based on the features that are important to them. Floor Plan A has the dining area situated right by the entry, with living area in front of the balcony and kitchen adjacent to that. The bedrooms both have built in wardrobes, with the master bedroom also featuring an ensuite with toilet and shower. Floor Plan B is slightly smaller, with a smaller second bedroom and more expansive master bedroom, which is great for owner-occupiers who’re planning on using the second bedroom as a rarely-used guest room. The entryway opens right into the kitchen. and there’s a large linen storage cupboard too. This apartment would get lovely breezes through the living space. There is a second balcony door opening up from the master bedroom, which is great for light and breeze, but not so great for privacy if sharing the apartment with a roommate. There is also a large walk through robe in the main bedroom. Floor Plan C has an additional study nook, with both bedrooms down the other end of the house to the balcony, the breezes are unlikely to carry all the way through the house. With the neighbour’s balcony right next to the second bedroom, you might be able to hear them entertaining. All of the two-bedroom apartments feature a small built-in laundry in the kitchen.
The three-bedroom apartments are much more spacious, with very large balconies. For Floor Plan G, the main bedroom is separated from bedrooms two and three, with a large ensuite featuring a statement bath. The master bedroom also has two separate wardrobes which are a dream come true for most couples and also opens out onto the balcony. The kitchen has a lovely big kitchen island, with a separate laundry room coming off it. Type H floor plans have an expansive balcony with plenty of space for outdoor entertaining. There are balcony doors from the living area, the second bedroom and the main bedroom. The main bedroom has a large walk-in wardrobe and a large ensuite. The second bedroom is close by, but the third bedroom is down at the opposite end of the apartment, perfect for a roommate.
In the two-bedroom apartments, the air conditioning is a wall-hung split system in the living room and bedroom. The three-bedroom apartment air conditioning is ducted. The condensers for these are in the service area, not on the balcony, so there’s no wasted external space. There is a double power point on the balcony, which is great for entertaining. In the kitchen, the benchtops are reconstituted stone with tiled splashbacks and Ilve appliances. The floor of the living area and bedrooms are carpeted, with feature tiles in the bathrooms and kitchen. There is a choice between light and dark colour schemes available for the levels that have not yet been completed.
The body corporate fees at Qube Broadbeach start at $85 per week.
