While the ideal of waterfront living in Hope Island isn’t necessarily a groundbreaking one, it is becoming much harder (and more expensive) to secure property in the area with those coveted views. Athena Residences, as a medium-level development finished to a high level, offers buyers a fantastic opportunity to get into the Hope Island market, and get their views, for a far more affordable price than is generally seen on these properties.
Athena Residences is a multi-stage apartment project located on the water at Hope Island. The finished project will include a mixture of two- and three-bedroom apartments across the two buildings. There are a few different types of apartments being offered at Athena Residences, all offered at various price points that will appeal to both newer and more established buyers. There will be two bedroom apartments starting from $489,000, two bedroom plus study apartments from $595,000, and three-bedroom ‘Sky Homes’ starting from $985,000.
Each apartment is finished to a high level, with great finishes – especially at this price level, in this location. This is especially true of the ‘Sky Home’ apartments, which have Miele appliances, engineered Every apartment has ducted air-conditioning as well, to make surviving those hot Australian summers easier.
Security is also a feature of these apartments, with each apartment having audio intercom connections, and each level of the development having its own secure access. The underground parking for residents will also be secure, with residents-only access.
Athena Residences is expected to have body corporate rates of $58-$89 per week, depending on the apartment chosen.

Located at 6-8 Sickle Avenue, Hope Island, Athena Residences sits overlooking the canals feeding into the Coomera River, and just seconds from the Sickle Avenue road and bridge. There are a number of amenities close by, with the Hope Island Marketplace being the closest – just five minutes walk from the apartments – and a number of restaurants roughly five minutes drive in the other direction along Sickle Avenue. If you’re into your sport, the Hope Island Resort Golf Course – ranked as one of the best in Australia – is just 10 minutes drive away, and The Pines Golf Course and the Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club (which are also very highly rated) is about 15 minutes drive away. The Hope Island Tennis Club is one minute down the road. Go fishing at the Sickle Park fishing spot (a well loved local secret) by walking down the road, or head down to the beach 20 minutes away for a relaxing day enjoying the atmosphere at Surfer’s Paradise.
There aren’t very many schools within the immediate area surrounding Athena Residences, however there are a number of well-respected schools on the Gold Coast. This includes the all-female St. Hilda’s, and their all-male brother school The Southport School. Closer to home, there’s Coombabah State School, Saint Steven’s College, and Coomera Anglican College, all of which are known for their close-knit communities and academic programs.
Residents will have access to a number of facilities across the project, including a business lounge with private offices and boardroom facilities, a 22m pool, sauna, and gym, along with a yoga/pilates room, children’s indoor play area, and a zen garden. Other facilities include a media room, BBQ facilities, and a pet wash bay.
