Highpoint apartments are an upcoming development that is all about the bayside living.
When people think of Brisbane, they think of it as an inland river city without beaches or sea views. However, Brisbane has a few suburbs that are right on the coast. Wynnum is one of them and for the first time in a while apartments are popping up left, right and centre – many of them with great ocean views.
Highpoint is developed and built by Niclin Group. The award-winning company has delivered successful residential projects and considers itself to be “young, vibrant and committed to delivering the project with the highest standards”. Some of the company’s current projects are in the Brisbane CBD and the suburbs of Corinda, Mt Gravatt, Nundah and Manly.
Altogether, there are 16 two-bedroom apartments and eight three-bedroom apartments.
Reverse cycle split system air conditioning is installed in all bedrooms and living areas. There are also ceiling fans in all bedrooms, living areas and balconies to provide extra comfort. Every apartment has built-in robes in all bedrooms. Some two-bedroom apartments have a study. Barbecue gas points are provided on all balconies, which also have glazed balustrades and tiled flooring.
There id a lobby entry to Highpoint, with secure swipe card access and an intercom system.
The two-bedroom apartments have one parking space and the three-bedroom apartments have two car spaces.
Prices for Highpoint start at $455,000 for a two-bedroom apartment and go up to $875,000 for a three-bedroom apartment.
Construction is complete at Highpoint.
Highpoint apartments are located in Wynnum, 15km from the Brisbane CBD. It’s also 18km away from Brisbane Airport.
The 2011 Australian Census showed that Wynnum residents have an average age of 40 – slightly older than the national average. So Wynnum is a suburb more for established families. The population of Wynnum is 12,229.
Manly is Wynnum’s neighbouring sister suburb and together they offer many restaurants, cafes and lovely bayside experiences. Manly hosts a farmer’s market every first and third Saturday of the month that provides locals with fresh produce and food and coffee. Manly Harbour Village also holds free outdoor cinemas every month all year round- check the website for this month’s movie.
The closest shopping centre is Wynnum Plaza which has around 70 stores, restaurants and services including major stores like Kmart, Woolworths, Dan Murphy’s and Coles.
There are numerous boating ramps in Wynnum that are easily accessible and the Wynnum Jetty (less than a 10 minute walk) is a prime spot for walking along and fishing. The main fish caught at the Jetty are Bream. Wynnum Creek is also a good spot for fishing.
The closest train station to the Highpoint apartments is Wynnum Central, a seven-minute walk away. Trains run to the city and surrounding suburbs. The 240 express bus to the Brisbane CBD stops at Florence Street at Wynnum Central (stop 97), a five-minute walk from the apartments.
Highpoint apartments are surrounded by schools such as Guardian Angels’ Catholic Primary School (right across the road), Wynnum State High School (four minutes drive), Wynnum State School (five minutes drive), Wondall Heights State School (four minute drive), Brisbane Bayside State College (five minutes drive), Iona Roman Catholic Boy’s Private College (seven minutes drive), Moreton Bay Uniting Church Girls College (six minutes drive) and Moreton Bay Boys College (five minutes drive). There are plenty more options around the area to choose from so you can pick a school that is right for you and your child.
Wynnum Hospital is just a four minute drive from Highpoint. There are many medical centres and pharmacies around Wynnum so easy access to health care is at your disposal.
