The Villas Fraser Cove is a development of 45 townhouses of two or three-bedrooms in Tweed Heads. All villas have two bathrooms, a lock up garage and secondary parking space as well a private courtyard. Two-bedroom villas started at $385,000 when originally selling, with three-bedroom villas from $415,000. The Villas Fraser Cove is a great option for downsizers who’re looking for a bit of a sea change.
DECEMBER 2019: The Villas Fraser Cove have now sold out. Some townhouses or villas may be available by resale; if you would like more information, please enquire below.
As of July 2018, all villas in Stage 1 were sold with four remaining in Stage 2 and nine remaining in Stage 3. The project completely sold out in December 2019. Lot sizes vary from 140m² to 242m², with villas from 123 square metres to 152 square metres. Adjacent to The Villas Fraser Cove is the second part of the Fraser Cove development, a house and land estate of 83 residential blocks. In front of the villas is almost five acres of fairly untouched parkland and it’s only a few minutes walk to the Terranora Broadwater, jetty and boat ramp, and 10 minutes drive from Coolangatta.
We love…
But remember that…
The development sits at 16/57 Fraser Road in Tweed Heads South. It’s on the western side of the M1 highway and 700m away from parklands and Terranora Creek and the boat ramp, perfect access for avid kayakers, swimmers or boaties. The fishing in Terranora Creek is pretty splendid most of the year, with mangrove jacks and large brim. Note that you do need a permit to fish the Tweed River and creeks, but it’s definitely worthwhile for those who enjoy wetting a line.
The Villas Fraser Cove is 11 minutes from the Gold Coast Airport and less than 10 minutes to Coolangatta Beach. Club Banora Golf Club and surrounding restaurants are less than five minutes away, as is a large Bunnings and Banora Central Coles.

The Villas Fraser have been developed with cutting-edge design. Architecturally, they’re designed with privacy in mind as well as a few lovely aesthetic features that make The Villas look more like a home than a rectangular shoebox. Every villa at Fraser Cove is two-storey. The total area starts at 123 square metres and ranges to 152 square metres. Of the 13 villas that still remain for sale, eight of these are large three-bedrooms (at 152m² total area) and two are smaller three-bedrooms (at 134m²) and the remaining three are 123m² two-bedroom villas.
The courtyards are very valuable space, as the balconies aren’t large in size, with a maximum area of four square metres. Some villas have no balconies at all, with the courtyard the only external area. The lot sizes (and therefore the size of the courtyard) varies too, with some as large as 261 square metres. The smallest remaining lot size is 140 square metres, and it will house one of the smaller, two bedroom villas.
All bedrooms are larger than average size and the open-plan living space is plentiful enough to include a separate dining and lounge room. The kitchen has a very usable amount of prep space and one of the floor plans also includes a kitchen island. In all villas, there is a downstairs powder room, as well as the main bathrooms upstairs. Unfortunately, no floor plans allocate room for a tub in the bathroom.
There are three options when it comes to floor plans at The Villas Fraser Cove, all sitting over two-stories with a single garage and one additional driveway parking space. The garage sits directly in front of the driveway, meaning you may have to coordinate and move cars around quite frequently. The car layout, in particular, makes The Villas more suitable for a couple or family, rather than shared with a roommate or friends.
On the bottom level you’ll find an internal laundry and powder room, living space, dining room and kitchen as well as access to the courtyard. All floor plans also have a lovely alfresco patio which is accessible from the living room. The space under the stairs has been opened up for storage which is a welcomed feature.
Both the bottom and top floor are quite an open plan design, allowing the air to flow through and really capitalise on those fresh sea breezes.
Upstairs, all master bedrooms have a walk-through wardrobe which connects to an ensuite. All other bedrooms have a built-in wardrobe and decent sized windows. With only two bedrooms, floor plan C has both bedrooms featuring a walk through and private ensuite, making this floor plan the best option for those looking to bring a friend into the second bedroom to help with mortgage costs. In all floor plans, the bedrooms are quite close together, making The Villas Fraser Cove not ideal to share with unfamiliar roommates, but instead targetted towards downsizers and families.
The Villas Fraser Cove are finished with a bold, yet overall agreeable styling. The colour palette of dark woods, bright whites and mid-greys suits the area and makes bringing those extra pops of colour into your home easy. The benchtops in the kitchen and bathroom are stone. Windows are double glazed and the air conditioning is ducted through the roof. In the bathrooms, you’ll find floor to ceiling tiles which give the rooms a real touch of luxury — it’s a touch you’d normally see in developments of a much higher price range.
McGrath Property Management has provided realistic rental prices for The Villas Fraser Cove of between $380 for a two bedroom to $480 a week a large three bedroom. 28% of the population in Tweed Heads is renting, with a 0.76% current vacancy rate in the suburb’s rentals.
