A new apartment development sitting in Baden Powell Street in Maroochydore, The Avenue is a retirement village for those who want to remain close to all of the action. The Avenue is a new retirement village located in the heart of Maroochydore. The 113 apartments making up The Avenue are split across two stages. Stage One consisted of 49 two and three-bedroom apartments in a number of configurations, whilst Stage Two consists of 64 two and three-bedroom apartments. All of the apartments come with either one or two car parks, which indicates that the developer clearly hopes to attract younger age downsizer’s and retirees who will still be very active.
The developer has clearly put a significant effort into forming a community at The Avenue, regularly hosting events for residents to attend. This includes everything from dinner and drinks to craft afternoons. This sense of community is particularly important for retirees, and shows how much thought goes into the continued management of the project.
With Stage One completed in July 2019, and Stage Two set to finish construction in late 2020, The Avenue is ideal for retirees who are planning on moving soon.

The location of The Avenue is one of it’s biggest draw factors. Located close to the heart of Maroochydore, residents can access to a number of amenities without having to travel far. This is despite the fact that the project actually sits on a rather quiet suburban street — residents get the best of both worlds, in this respect.
The Sunshine Coast Airport is less than 15 minutes drive away, which is great for residents who travel for work or leisure. Of course, if we’re talking about leisure then we’d be remiss to mention that the closest beaches are about six or seven minutes drive away. This includes Cotton Tree Beach, Maroochydore Beach (which is close to the Maroochy Surf Club, for those who feel like some food after a good swim) and Alexandra Headland Beach.
Sitting at 32 Baden Powell Street, Maroochydore, there are a number of well-known restaurants and cafes close to The Avenue. Orleans Restaurant and Bar are a two minute drive away, and this restaurant is a favourite for date nights and catch ups with family. Cafe’s include Aroma Bliss Cafe and The Milk Bar Coffee Co., which are some of the most highly-rated cafes on the Sunshine Coast. Both are less than eight minutes drive away.
There will be a number of communal facilities at The Avenue, many of which are focused on providing an easy-going lifestyle for residents. This includes health and wellbeing facilities like a heated pool, gym, and consulting rooms for allied health providers. Other communal facilities include a wine room (with extra storage), arts and craft room, cafe, billiards room and bar, library, and a functions room.
