Surry Hills Village is a newly-approved development in the suburb of Redfern. Upon completion, this masterplanned project will bring 154 new residences to the area, with one, two and three-bedroom floor plans available. Along with apartments, there are also stunning penthouses, terraces and townhouses for sale, ensuring there’s something to suit everyone.
Individual pricing for the residences at Surry Hills Village has not been publicly released yet, although they are expected to nudge $24,000 per square metre — making these apartments sit towards the top end of pricing. The one-bedroom apartments average at 57m², with a median price point of $1,030,000. As of the end of 2019, over 25 per cent of the project has sold. With the price points come an undeniable level of luxury at Surry Hills Village as well as expansive panoramic views. All residences are completed with upmarket finishes and an open-plan design. The residences all have reconstructed wooden floorboards as well as split-system air conditioning. All two and three-bedroom residences all feature between one and two secure garage spaces.
The master-planned project incorporates the brickwork of the former Bank of NSW, giving the project heritage appeal. Once completed, the project will span across six mid-rise buildings.

Surry Hills Village has received council approval and the first stage is currently selling off-the-plan, however, construction has not yet begun.
Located in Redfern, Surry Hills Village is located in the middle of it all. This development sits 2.7km away from Sydney CBD and 5.4 kilometres from Sydney Airport. Within the vicinity of the apartments, there are a number of popular restaurants, bars, pubs and cafes. Redfern is also close by to many of Sydney’s best lifestyle offerings, including Shannon Reserve (home to the Surry Hills markets), Paramount Recreation Club, Hyde Park, Centennial Park and Sydney’s Entertainment Quarter.
For families, there are several great schools close by. The catchment schools for this area are Bourke Street Public School, Sydney Boys High School and Sydney Girls High School. For those interested in tertiary education — either as academic staff or students — there are many universities in the local area. The University of Sydney is located 9-minutes drive from Surry Hills Village, also easily accessible within 25 minutes walk. The University of Technology Sydney sits only 1.4km from the new development, and the University of New South Wales is only 3.2km away, so there are countless options.
The master-planned Surry Hills Village offers a central community which provides residences with a “village lifestyle” alongside the conveniences of inner-city living. Surry Hills Village will include restaurants, boutiques, green spaces and parks, co-working spaces as well as larger commercial office spaces. Along with this, the project will also involve a modern retail laneway and a new public library. The new laneway will incorporate a Coles, a Vintage Cellars and a number of restaurants.
