Oria is a new apartment development located in the ever-popular Brisbane suburb of Spring Hill. Oria is being designed with a classic, art deco style, helping the project both blend in with the art deco-centric style of Spring Hill, but also become a landmark within the area by taking the idea and modernising it.
While the project has only recently been announced, what we do know about Oria is exciting. The apartments will sit on the former Energex headquarters site, overlooking Victoria Park (and the massive redevelopment there, which will only be a boon for buyers as the years go on). Developer’s Keylin say this contemporary approach to the design is to echo “the historic, art deco style of Spring Hill”. The dual-tower project will rise 15 storeys at completion, with massive vertical gardens planned throughout the exterior.
There are two different interior schemes – ‘Gregory’, the light scheme, and ‘Victoria’, a darker colour scheme – for buyers to choose between. Both include high end finishes and custom joinery, along with ceasarstone benchtops and backsplash. Timber flooring (in a very art deco chevron layout) is standard, as are integrated appliances.
Two bedroom apartments are priced from $619,000, three bedroom apartments from $1,500,000, and four bedroom apartments start from $1,825,000.
JANUARY 2022: Construction has not begun on this project yet, but Oria is expected to be completed in March 2024. Please check back soon for more updates.
Oria will be located at 447 Gregory Terrace, Spring Hill. The project is set to overlook Victoria Park, which is itself going to get a fantastic update over the coming years. This project sits in an incredibly well connected location, with Gregory Terrace connecting up to Brunswick Street just down the road, meaning residents can easily get around Brisbane by car, bus or rail. Further, the iconic Brisbane RNA Showgrounds are less than five minutes away, and that area has been undergoing a significant amount of redevelopment in recent years, and it’s one of the best brunch, lunch and dinner spots in Brisbane now.
There are also a number of schools close to Oria. These include St Joseph’s Gregory Terrace (known better in Brisbane as just ‘Terrace’), Brisbane Girls Grammar School and Brisbane Grammar School.
Residents will have access to a number of facilities at Oria. This includes a cinema room, business centre, private dining room, bar, and an outdoor dining and relaxation area. There will also be a 25 meter pool (which will have city views!).
