Townhouses are a bit of a rarity in the Ascot area, where large homes and sprawling estates still reign supreme. Ascot Silver takes a valuable slice of the Ascot pie providing 14 residences, all with four bedrooms, for prices much less than the average home price in the area. The design of the townhouses focuses on clean lines and open spaces and is a great option for the downsizer market as well as emptynesters. Young professionals are also likely to be able to make the most of the Ascot location and the four-bedroom layouts make Ascot Silver appropriate for families too.

Regarded as one of Brisbane’s most affluent suburbs, Ascot is located on the northside of Brisbane and is bordered by the Brisbane River. The suburb is peppered with impressive (and in many cases, heritage listed) Queenslander homes and is well known for premiere views and green leafy streets. About 7km from the CBD, Ascot is surrounded by suburbs with comparable affluence and the median house price in the area is more than $1.4 million. Nearby, you’ll find Eagle Farm, Albion, Hamilton, Clayfield and Hendra.
The area is perhaps most well-known for Brisbane Racing Club’s two tracks — Doomben Racecourse and Eagle Farm Racecourse. A $950 million redevelopment of Eagle Farm Racecourse over the next 10 years will add even more prestige to the area.
Only minutes away from the Eagle Farm Racecourse, Ascot Silver townhomes will benefit greatly from the addition of food, retail and entertainment which will form a part of the redevelopment. Besides the race tracks, Ascot is also very close to Portside Wharf and Eat Street Markets. For coffee lovers, the cafe culture is Ascot is thriving with some of the most refined (and hipster) coffee in the city to be found in Ascot.
Public transport in Ascot is quite convenient with several busses that service the area and have direct routes to the city. Ascot train station is a 20-minute walk away from the new townhouses at Ascot Silver.
Ascot has some of the most highly-regarded private schools with St Margaret’s Anglican Girls School, St Agatha’s as well as St Peter & Paul’s all close by. Ascot State School is just a 5-minute drive away too.
The parking at Ascot Silver is excellent for a development of this size, providing two car spaces per apartment in a secure underground carpark.
The air-conditioning is ducted and zoned throughout each residence, so each area of the apartments can be set independently of the others. The ceilings are high at 2.7 metres, making the spacious terrace homes feel even grander. With polished timber flooring throughout the living spaces, carpeted bedrooms and feature tiles on the terraces and balconies, it’s obvious each decision regarding the finishes of Ascot Silver has been carefully thought about.
The living area is very open and cultivates a bright and airy vibe that’s maintained throughout each apartment. A wide staircase leads upstairs to the bedrooms which are equipped with built-in wardrobes and windows. The main bedroom is located downstairs and features a door which opens out to a large private terrace.
Every apartment at Ascot Silver has a four bedrooms and 2.5 bathroom layout and the properties are differentiated from each other only by aspect. Each apartment includes a separate multi-purpose area which can be used as an office, media room or playroom. The kitchen features an island breakfast bar as well as L shaped benches. Adjacent to this, there’s plenty of room for a large dining table.
The kitchen benchtops are crafted in designer stone and the kitchen is decked out with European appliances. The freestanding cooktop is 900mm, giving owners plenty of space to fine-tune their inner Master Chef and the splashback will have a marble finish.
In the main bathroom, you will find a modern free standing bath and all bathrooms have built-in storage space, feature tiles and large vanities.
While the median price for a house in Ascot tips out over $1.4 million, the median price for an apartment sits at $485,000. For downsizers or empty nesters, the townhouses of Ascot Silver may offer a happy medium between the two (without the million dollar price tag).
Currently, in Ascot, there are a few similar boutique apartment complexes entering the market. The recently completed Nido Terraces still have a few apartments remaining for sale and off-the-plan sales are open for Ascot Farm and Silk On Racecourse.
