Balcome Terraces are a new townhouses development located in Denman Prospect, Canberra. The two, three and four-bedroom townhouses are spread across three storeys and are designed for those who love to entertain and need a practically-designed home
The 45-townhouse project sits close to Stromlo Forest Park and the National Arboretum and is only a few minutes away from the Canberra CBD.
There is a display suite located next to the Denman Prospect Village Suite, on the corner of Wyndham Avenue and Kondelea Way. It is open by appointment only.
JANUARY 2020: Balcombe Terraces have begun construction and are progressing quickly (please note that the haze in this image is due to the ongoing bushfires surrounding Canberra at the time of writing).
There are several projects in Canberra that are worth taking a look at; primarily, ISKIA in Campbell is worth checking out. The one, two and three-bedroom apartment development sits just outside of the Parliamentary Triangle and CBD. With a ground-floor plaza that is set to be home to a mix of office, retail and a prominent Canberra restaurant, cafe and juice bar, ISKIA is ideal for those who want to be close to the centre of the action.
There are 45 two, three and four-bedroom townhouses available at Balcombe Terraces. All of them are spread across three storeys, meaning there’s space for everything you want and need (the townhouses also have slightly more storage than normal, which is a feature everyone will appreciate).
The kitchens in Balcombe Terraces are something of a stand-out feature. They all feature Ariston appliances, including a 75cm stainless steel gas cooktop (with a wok burner), a 60cm multi-function electric oven, externally-ducted stainless steel range hood, integrated dishwasher, and a 28L integrated microwave oven. This means you’ve got everything you need to cook whatever you want, from cheese toasties to that fancy three-course dinner you’ve been planning. The kitchens also feature composite stone benchtops, double sinks with a draining basket, and a Dorf Polished Chrome sink mixer.
Expect to find ducted reverse-cycle heating and cooling throughout the townhouses, along with LED downlights. Residents will also get 3 Property Group’s “Future-ready Technology” included, which includes 3GLAZE windows, and 3PUSH — which is a home automation pack that will allow residents to control five lighting zones from a device — included, which makes the townhouses not only environmentally friendly, but designed so that living and managing a household is easy. All townhouses are 3Solar ready as well if residents choose to add that.
All of the townhouses have at least two outdoor spaces, which makes Balcombe Terraces ideal for those with young children or who love to enjoy the Canberra weather.
Residents will have access to a common area, which will be home to BBQ and dining facilities, perfect to host catch-ups with friends and family. Residents will also have access to a number of walking tracks and a nearby park, if they need to escape to the great outdoors.
Balcombe Terraces is located in one of the most sought-after new locations in Canberra, Denman Prospect. Known for the views residents have over the eco-consciously-planned landscape, an abundance of green spaces, the new multi-million dollar shopping centre. Residents will also have easy access to Stromlo Forest Park, and the National Arboretum, both of which are located close by. The CBD and Parliamentary Triangle are about 20-minutes drive away, which makes for a very doable commute.
There aren’t any schools in Denman Prospect itself, but there is one planned to open in 2021. The prep to year 6 primary school will cater to 600 students and 44 full-time preschool students when it opens. Planning is currently underway to determine the feasibility of work on a high school in the region, that is expected to be constructed as the suburb grows in the coming years.
Body Corporate details for Balcombe Terraces are not publicly available, please enquire below for more information.
Balcombe Terraces are being developed by 3 Property Group, a well known Canberra developer. They have several other projects under their belt, all of which prioritise location, communal facilities and livability in their design. Balcombe Terraces are their most recently completed development.
