Lanikai is a boutique development located just outside Southport, in a spot with unparalleled views. Located across the road from James Overall Park (which the Gold Coast Rugby Union Club calls home), the project is a hop and a skip away from the bustle of Surfers Paradise.

The Project

Lanikai consists of 44 boutique apartments over nine levels. There are twelves floorplans available, with some of the specific apartment types being available over several floors. There is one interior colour scheme for all apartments.

The development includes a great range of communal amenities, including a rooftop entertainment area – which has a lot of greenery, including a lawn – a fully equipped gym and a pool. The abundant amenities have appealed to local’s looking for a home, families on holidays, and young couples, as the communal amenities are designed to foster relationships between the residents.

Artists Impression of the Lanikai rooftop area

There are only six apartments per floor, and levels eight and nine only have two apartments per floor. This make each storey feel more private. Another feature of the apartments worth mentioning is the city views almost every apartment has. Large window sizing has allowed these views to become a focus of the apartments, making them feel more special.

Location

Lanikai is located at 30 Brighton Parade, Southport. This is just across the road from the James Overall Park, which the Gold Coast Rugby Union Club calls home, which means that the views in those apartments facing Surfers Paradise will never be built out. The development is down the road from Rivage Royale, Brighton Luxury Apartments, and Portia Apartments Gold Coast, which all host owner-occupiers, long-term renters, and holidaymakers.

Lanikai Location

Importantly, perhaps, it’s located only twelve minutes from Surfer’s Paradise, thanks to the Gold Coast Highway which is located close by. It’s also less than 15 minutes drive to the nearby Ferry Road, which has several restaurants and other retailers along it. This means that the development is perfectly situated for easy access to the areas residents will want to access, whilst still being removed enough for privacy.

The closest bus stop is the street behind, at the Bauer Street near Chelsea Terrace stop (ID: 301327), which is approximately four minutes walk. Using this service, which goes from Southport Station Stop B to Glenmore Drive in Ashmore, connecting services can be caught to go to other areas on the Gold Coast. There are no other public transport options nearby, which may be an issue for some people.

Lanikai is only four minutes drive from one of the Gold Coast’s best private Pre-prep to Year 12 all-boys schools, The Southport School (TSS), and five minutes from St. Hilda’s School (an all-girls school). Griffith University and TAFE are also within ten minutes drive, making this development well situated for those who have children or are studying.

Lanikai has only one interior colour scheme, which is a mix of neutral whites, grey’s, beiges and chromes. This may be an issue for some people, however, the neutral colour scheme means that anything you move into the apartment should fit.

Overview of the interior specifications in Lanikai

The general apartment has porcelain tiles, whilst the bedrooms are carpeted. All of the handles, mixers, and taps are chrome, which gives the apartments a very modern feel. Each apartment also has reverse cycle air conditioning.

The kitchen has Miele appliances, and the kickboard will be timber wenge. This, combined with the grey splashback, does make for a very striking and defined area, given the white walls throughout the rest of the apartment. Additionally, as the floorplans above show, the kitchens are larger than is normal in apartments of these sizes.
