The Shore is a multi-stage house and land development scheduled to be built in Marcoola on the Sunshine Coast. With several stages — some of which are set to include a resort and a retail precinct — The Shore will be bringing a major change to the Marcoola area. Stage One is almost sold out.
The Shore is a new house and land project spread across 5.5 hectares on the Sunshine Coast. The first stage, which is now selling, is set to include 33 homes with direct beach access, while Stage Two will consist of a 114-room resort and a retail precinct. With earthworks currently underway and dune restoration work nearly complete, buyers can expect their home to be ready by the end of 2020.
There are several different home designs buyers can choose between, all of which are four-bedroom, three-bathroom. The houses sit just down from the Sunshine Coast Airport, so all residences have very thorough sound-proofing integrated into the designs. Buyers can choose between tiled or imitation wood floors, depending on what they would like to spend, or what the exteriors look like. This will give the development more character, and allow buyers to ensure that they get exactly what they want from their home.
Only four lots in Stage One remain for sale. Stage Two is expected to be released to the market in the coming months.
GemLife Pacific Paradise is a new over 50’s estate located on the Sunshine Coast. As the moniker suggests, it is designed for over-50’s downsizers and retirees. Pacific Paradise is a house and land project — which Gemlife call a resort — and includes a vast array of additional facilities for use by the owners/residents. The Resort offers a wide variety of home designs and floorplan layouts, all offering three-bedroom houses, plus many with MPR (multipurpose room), an office and additional storage — the options go on. Priced from $585,000, GemLife Pacific Paradise is for downsizers and retirees who want luxury close to the beach and the centre of all the action on the Sunshine Coast.
There is no display suite for The Shore, however, appointments can be made to speak the to sales team and tour the development site. To do so, please use the enquiry form below.
Earthworks and restoration work on the dunes has begun at The Shore, with major construction expected to begin in the coming months.
The Shore is located at 943 – 951 David Low Way, Marcoola. Sitting on the beachfront, the development is a block away from the Sunshine Coast Airport. This may mean residents experience some noise from planes entering and leaving the airport, however, the homes do have precautions like extra soundproofing, as mentioned above.
Residents will find the Marcoola Esplanade 3-minutes drive away, giving them access to many shops, restaurants and cafes. The Marcoola Surf Life Saving Club is also located along here and is locally known as the place to go if you want a relaxing atmosphere while you enjoy your lunch or dinner (the views are definitely something to write home about as well!). If you’re looking for slightly more developed retail areas, Coolum Beach and Peregian Beach are both less than 10-minutes away.
One nearby amenity any Australian will love is the local coffee shop. Cuba St Coffee Roasters Cafe is a local favourite for both their coffee (they specialise in unique, single origin roasts) and their food. It’s only a 1-minute walk away from the development.
Other nearby amenities that residents might want to check out include Mount Coolum (seven minutes away) for its hiking and running tracks, or the golf courses at Twin Waters, Peregian or Coolum (less than 30 minutes away).
The closest school is Pacific Paradise State Primary School, which is 6-minutes drive away. Bli Bli State School is 12 minutes away, and for those learning a new skill or taking on tertiary education, the Australian Industry Trade College is 15 minutes down the road.
There are no communal facilities at The Shore, but future stages will include a retail precinct within the development.

The Shore is being marketed by Amber Werchon Property.
