The Upper Deck marks the first waterfront development in Blakehurst in over 20 years. This landmark project offers luxury living on the Georges River with panoramic views and a communal jetty for easy water access.
These waterfront apartments offer spacious layouts with large balconies. Due to the aspect of the building, each of the 40 apartments provides uninterrupted water views. To further capitalise on these stunning views, all lounge areas have been designed to face east, maximising not only the views but the natural light and breeze too. All apartments feature high-end Miele appliances and premium fittings throughout, which complements the sandstone and bronze architecture of the building as a whole. Designed to reflect a classic ship, the architecture and location of this building alone are enough to make it a landmark development. Each apartment is provided with at least one secure car pack (located in the basement of the building) as well as additional storage space which makes this development ideal for downsizers.
The six waterfront garden apartments, dubbed Bayside Garden apartments feature large terraces and courtyards with water frontages — ideal for those who love to entertain outdoors.
Although this development is located just off the highway and at at the food of the Tom Uglys Bridge, all glass is acoustically-treated to ensure the traffic noise isn’t an issue. With a public reserve located on either side of the development, there is no possibility of future construction obstructing the views.
There is currently a display suite located on-site at 472 Princes Highway, Blakehurst which is open by appointment. To access the display suite, please take the first left after the project site to Tom Uglys Point, just before the bridge. There is parking on site. To view the display suite for The Upper Deck, please enquire below to secure an appointment.
Construction at The Upper Deck has not yet commenced. Please check back regularly for construction updates or enquire below to be notified when this project begins construction.
As well as being situated in an ideal location right on the water, The Upper Deck is also close to the city. The Sydney CBD just a 25-minute drive away. While there are buses which service the area, this peninsular doesn’t have an extensive public transport network and the closest train station is 8-minutes drive away in Carlton. The closest bus stop is located on the highway before Blake Avenue, less than 2-minutes walk from the apartments. The Upper Deck is also close to a number of popular schools including Mater Dei Catholic Primary which is located just 3-minutes away. Bald Face Public School also caters for primary-school-aged students and is the same distance away, located on Stuart Street. For high-school students, the closest catchment high school is Blakehurst High School, which is only 2.8 kilometres from the development. The main campus for TAFE NSW is also located close by in Kogarah, next to the St George Private Hospital. Westfield Miranda is just 10-minutes drive away for all your retail and entertainment needs.
There are some very popular restaurants and cafes within walking distance of The Upper Deck too, ensuring plenty of options for date night. Our favourites include Bayblu Seafood Restaurant and Carss Park Cafe & Grill.
The Upper Deck features a gorgeous rooftop communal space complete with a BBQ and outdoor kitchen, plenty of relaxing seating, an open-air rooftop cinema and communal veggie/herb garden. Landscaped with Australian natives, shrubs and climbing plants and featuring panoramic views of the waterway, this rooftop area is sure to be popular with the residents and is perfect for entertaining. The Upper Deck also offers a communal jetty which is an excellent spot for fishing as well as a great pick up and drop-off spot for those who enjoy boating.
