Luxe is a new apartment and townhouse development in Wright, Canberra. Bordering the rapidly-developing areas of Coombs and Denman Prospect, this area is located about 15-minutes drive from the Parliamentary Triangle, and just under 20-minutes drive from the city. Luxe offers one, two, three and four-bedroom configurations, with a single five-bedroom townhouse also available. Prices for Luxe apartments range from $479,000 – $599,000. Townhomes start from $539,900.

Luxe is currently offering an initial deposit of only $1000, with the remaining amount of a 5% deposit not due until the 30th of June 2019.

The Project

Luxe apartments and townhomes will be located on a one-hectare site, with the apartment building not exceeding six stories. Current plans and configured for 3 one-bedroom apartments, 98 two bedrooms, 14 three bedrooms and 7 four-bedroom apartments. In terms of the twnhouses, 29 of them will offer three-bedrooms, with 2 four bedrooms and one five-bedroom town home also in the plans. Luxe is also offering buyers the option to custom-design an apartment or townhouse to suite their personal needs.

There will be two levels of parking available in the basement for apartment residents and the townhouses will each have their own garage. While there will only be five or six visitor car parks, street parking on Opperman Avenue and the John Gorton Drive service road shouldn’t be an issue. Construction on the project is likely to take place in two stages. Stage 1 would involve the construction of the 32 townhouses, while Stage 2 would bring the 212 apartments and basement level car parking to completion.

The Location

As mentioned, Luxe sits about 15 minutes away from the CBD and Parliament, on the corner of John Gorton Drive and Opperman Avenue in the developing suburb of Wright. It is however, an ideal location for those who crave a lifestyle centered around health, fitness and recreation. It is a 5-minute drive from Mount Stromlo, which offers plenty of lovely hikes, bird-watching, mountain biking and swimming holes. As well as these lovely weekend activities, the proximity to this area also places Luxe close to the National Arboretum, Mount Stromlo Observatory and the National Zoo and Aquarium. There is also a $36.6 million leisure centre currently under construction for Stromlo, who is due for completion in 2020.

Local schools include Charles Weston School in Coombs, Duffy Primary School and Stromlo High. The Canberra Hospital, Austalian National University and the Royal College of Nursing are all between five and ten kilometres away from Luxe.

Communal Facilities

Luxe will feature an expansive rooftop terrace for residents to enjoy as well as a communal BBQ area, shaded seating areas, Japanese-inspired relaxation gardens, a performance gym as well as private indoor and outdoor yoga rooms on the ground floor. The sky terrace features excellent views from the solar-heated sky pool and pool area. There are poolside cabanas and sunbeds as well as BBQ amenities next to the pool area. On the rooftop you will also find a large fire feature and alfresco dining area. Separate to this is the residents sky lounge with full chefs kitchen and fireplace. Finally, there is also a sauna room and kids room on the rooftop terrace as well.

There is also an bicycle hub, and electric car charging stations on offer.
