Boardwalk Apartments are located at 72 The Esplanade, Burleigh Heads. The Esplanade is the typical, picturesque southern Gold Coast street with the street being edged by trees and green grass right before the beach. The Esplanade is a beachside road with parking going all the way along the street for beachgoers. These car parks are usually always full of beachgoers visiting Burleigh all throughout the week. The weekends are the peak time for Burleigh Beach which can become quite hectic with people, both local and tourists, although it is always much quieter than Surfers Paradise.
The Esplanade itself has two lanes of traffic and traffic is generally at a very low speed. At the back of the building, however, is the Gold Coast Highway which will be busy and carry significant traffic. All buildings in Burleigh Heads on the water are the same, so it is an attribute of the entire area. It should not be a huge concern as naturally the entire aspect of the building is to the east, over the beach.
Boardwalk Apartments is located within walking distance of public transport. The closest bus stop is the Second Avenue bus stop which is 800 m from Boardwalk. There are several routes that stop at this stop. Route 700 goes from Tweed through to Broadbeach and runs about every 10 mins. Route 765 goes from The Pines shopping village through to Robina and runs about every 30 mins. Route 777 goes from the Gold Coast Airport through to Broadbeach and runs around every 20 mins and the TX1 route runs from Dreamworld (Coomera) through to Tweed and runs around every 20 mins. Of course, access by car is very easy with the Gold Coast Highway behind the building
Burleigh is a cultural and vibrant suburb with markets on every weekend. The Village Markets are on every Sunday from 8:30 am – 1 pm and have an abundance of Lifestyle and Fashion stalls. You can pick up fresh fruit and vegetables every Sunday at the Burleigh Farmers Market. You can easily wake up, head to the beach and the walk to the markets with both marketplaces being just 800 m from Boardwalk.
Burleigh has a wide range of facilities including medical, schools and bars and restaurants. The Woolworths is located just 750 m from Boardwalk. There are a few GP’s around Burleigh that are within walking distance to Boardwalk, these include Burleigh Heads Medical Centre (900 m) and Burleigh Head Family Medical Practice (800 m). James Street, which is the hub of Burleigh’s restaurant and bar scene, is just 650 m from Boardwalk. Burleigh Heads State School (P – 6) is just 450 m from Boardwalk. The closest high school is Miami State High School (6 – 12) and is 3.5 km from Boardwalk.
