Construction began on Summit Labrador apartments in November 2018 and the development is scheduled for a July 2020 finish.
This new apartment development sits just 10-minutes drive from Southport, 20 minutes from Broadbeach and just over 40 minutes from Brisbane CBD. Summit is located directly adjacent to the Gold Coast Highway, which means some traffic noise may be heard from the apartments. Because of the location of Summit and the facilities provided, the asking prices of this new apartment building (starting at $345,000) we consider to be very reasonable for the area. The rental demand is average in the area, with 54% of Labrador residents renting. The rental appraisals for each apartment configuration are as below:
One-bedroom apartment: $390 per week with an average net yield of 4.15%.
Two-bedroom apartment: $540 per week with an average net yield of 4.51%.
Three-bedroom apartment: $640 per week with an average net yield of 4.42%.
Summit is one of the only apartment developments that’s currently under construction with brand-new units for sale in Labrador; along with Inspire Broadwater Central apartments which are currently under construction and due for completion in 2020 — also located on Frank Street. Brightwater apartments, Three72 and Coast Broadwater are three other developments with new apartments for sale in Labrador that have been completed within the last six months or so.
