Vista On Riverview is a project that is predominantly targeted at the owner occupier and downsizer market in Indooroopilly. It is located on Riverview Terrace, which is in the central area of Indooroopilly just off Station Road.
This project is now complete with apartments ready to move in to now. Vista on Riverview consists of just 24 apartments over five levels. This is rare considering the building is less than five minutes walk from Indooroopilly Train Station and Indooroopilly Shopping Centre.
There are a handful of one and two bedroom apartments on the lower level of this project, however the main focus is on the three and for bedroom apartments at Vista On Riverview which do make up the bulk of the building.
There are 16 three-bedroom apartments in this building, with four apartments on each floor. The three bedroom configurations at Vista On Riverview are all approximately 112m² internally with 21m² balconies.
The floor plans on these apartments are all very simple and functional. Each three bedroom apartment is designed so that every bedroom has access to extensive natural light, as well as the kitchen and living area. Some features that, in our opinion, really enhance the livability and value of these apartments are the separate laundries, study desks in some apartments, large kitchens with an island and the bi-fold doors that slide all the way back, and really ticks the box on one of our key livability features on balconies (integration with the living space – download our E-Book on Liveability for a full list of the features we look for). These doors will really open up the apartments allowing breezes and light to come into the apartments. On top of this, they will increase indoor/outdoor integration. Every apartment also has a BBQ on the balcony, which we think is great considering Queensland’s climate and lifestyle.
The top level of Vista On Riverview is home to two large penthouses. These span 187m² and have 86m² balconies. They are huge apartments! Three of the four bedrooms have ensuites, whilst the fourth bedroom is envisioned to be a media room.
The master bedrooms in these penthouses have a walk-in robe and an ensuite with couples sinks, a bathtub, private toilet and shower. These master bedrooms open up onto a private part of the balcony that is partially separated from the main half of the balcony (where the living area opens up). All in all, the master corner of these penthouse apartments is a nice, private space that certainly has some of the luxury features that you would expect of a penthouse apartment.
The penthouse apartments at Vista On Riverview also come with a relatively big butler’s pantry that is hidden behind the main part of the kitchen. These apartments also feature separate laundries and a small study nook that is able to be closed off with sliding doors.
One distinctive feature of the penthouse design is the fact that the bathtub and sink in the main bedroom are out in the open and not behind a bathroom wall as you would normally expect. It adds a luxurious design feature to master suite, but it won’t appeal to everyone. In this case the bath tub perhaps seems to be right up close to the carpet which may cause some issues as well. That ‘s is something to take up with the Developer before you buy.
On the ground floor of Vista On Riverview, there is a small BBQ area for residents. This is the extent of residential amenity at this project, which is why the body corporate rates are so low. This will definitely be an attractive feature for buyers who are looking for a low cost apartment and don’t mind not having extra features like a gym or pool.
Each apartment at Vista On Riverview comes with two side by side car parks. This is great because on street parking can be particularly difficult in this area of Indooroopilly. Each apartments comes with storage spaces as well. The penthouses come with the largest amount of storage space (24m²). There are 5 visitor car parks at this project.
There is an onsite display for Vista on Riverview which is open daily from 9:30am until 11:30am. Please enquire below to book an appointment.
If you’re looking for a luxury apartment with plenty of space, it’s worth considering 443 Queen Street, as it also offers outstanding finishes. While Vista on Riverview is located close by to Indooroopilly Shopping Centre, 443 Queen Street means you would be right in the centre of the action in the city, with the added bonus of outstanding river views.
Vista On Riverview is located at 25 Riverview Terrace, Indooroopilly. There is an apartment building on one side of this project and a small motel on the other. This street is predominantly populated by low or mid rise apartment buildings of an older style.
Riverview Terrace is a short street just off Station Road, which is what would likely be considered as the ‘High Street’ of Indooroopilly. This street can get particularly busy and congested, particularly during peak hour. It runs down the central business district, linking the train station at the bottom to Indooroopilly Shopping Centre and Indooroopilly Bus Interchange at the top. There are a number of small businesses, restaurants and cafes on Station Road. On the corner of Riverview Terrace and Station Road, just 150m from Vista On Riverview, is a cafe, Indian Restaurant, Laksa Hut and a shop called Nutland. Towards the top of Station Road and outside Indooroopilly Shopping Centre are a number of well-known restaurants including Nantucket Kitchen & Bar, Nitrogenie and Harajuku Gyoza.
Indooroopilly Shopping Centre is one of Brisbane’s best known shopping destinations. It is also less than five minutes walk from Vista On Riverview. This centre recently underwent a $450 million upgrade and is now home to 360 speciality stores. Stores of note inside the complex include Coles, Woolworths, Indooroopilly Fruit, H&M, UNIQLO, David Jones and Glue Store.
Indooroopilly Shopping Centre also serves as a major bus interchange for the western suburbs of Brisbane. There are 30 bus routes that run through the station which is located just outside Indooroopilly Shopping Centre. The routes that run through this station head to all major employment, education, retail and recreational areas in Brisbane. For example, residents could get to the city in about 30 minutes at peak hour or go to University of Queensland in 10 minutes.
Another great thing about the location of Vista On Riverview is that it is only 300m from Indooroopilly Train Station. This would be a huge bonus for anybody that worked in the City, Valley or South Bank, making commutes particularly quick and easy. Indooroopilly Station is 6 stops out from Central and the train ride in is just under 15 minutes. Also, anybody who enjoys going to the footy at Suncorp Stadium will love being this close to the station on game nights.
Given that this is a busy, urban location, there is a degree of noise. This mainly comes from trains and the road, which gets quite congested during peak hour.
People are also drawn to Indooroopilly because of how close it is to the University of Queensland. This is Queensland’s largest university. It attracts students from across Queensland, Australia and the World. Indooroopilly State School is a highly regarded primary school that is only ten minutes walk from Riverview. In terms of secondary education, Brisbane Boy’s College, St Peter’s Lutheran College, Brigidine College and Indooroopilly State High School are all easily accessible from Vista On Riverview.
As these apartments are targeted at owner occupiers, the finishes are a step above the average new apartment in Brisbane. Also, it is worth mentioning that the penthouses at Vista On Riverview will have different finishes than the three bedroom apartments.
All apartments have timber flooring throughout the kitchen, dining and living areas. The kitchens come with glass splashback and 20mm stone benchtops as well as full height veneer cabinetry.
The bedrooms have woollen carpet throughout and all apartments at this complex have ducted air conditioning. There are fans to the bedrooms and main living area.
All apartments come with high quality European appliances. This includes a wine fridge and a BBQ on the deck of each apartment.
The majority of apartments at this project have a ceiling height of around 2.65m. However, the penthouses on the top level have 2.9m ceilings which is much higher than average and will make the apartments feel more spacious.
Three bedroom owners will pay around $2,500 each year, whilst penthouse owners will pay around $2,700.
This project is being developed by Vista Property Group, who are a private development company based in Brisbane. Another project of theirs is Savoir Faire in Milton. The builder that has been appointed is Zen Constructions, who are a building company that specialise in multi residential.
