Amara Alexandria: A family-friendly apartment project close to the CBD

A new apartment project under construction in Sydney, Amara Alexandria is perhaps the ideal project for professionals, families and downsizers looking to be close to the city but still retain some privacy. Amara has extra visual and acoustic soundproofing and is in a central location with strong public transport options.

  • One, two, three and four-bedroom apartments priced from $665,000
  • Located at 39 Ralph Street, Alexandria
  • Construction is underway with an expected move-in date in late 2020
  • On the 855 sqm roof residents will have access to a number of amenities from the more normal (like outdoor kitchens) to the more novel (stingless bee hives)

The Project

Amara Alexandria is a new apartment development currently under construction in Alexandria. The one, two, three and four-bedroom apartments have been designed to allow in maximum light while still offering visual and acoustic privacy. A large focus has been put on ‘efficient’ design, which has meant the inclusion of extra storage, and different floor plan options.

Every apartment will have AEG and Dorf appliances in the kitchen, along with concealed split-system air conditioning. Feature lighting will be included throughout the apartments, and every apartment has ceilings that are slightly higher than normal, making the spaces feel larger. There will also be secure parking for all residents.

Residents will have access to a few amenities throughout the development. As the project is aimed at professionals, families and downsizers, this means that children’s play areas and gardens have been included.

Location

Located at 39 Ralph Street, Alexandria, Amara sits one block back from the major thoroughfare that is Botany Road. The development is centrally located while still being slightly away from all of the noise and busyness. With Botany Road so close by, residents will find a range of amenities within walking distance. Everything from a Harvey Norman to a rock climbing gym to a distillery and bar are close by, which means residents won’t have to travel more than 10 minutes to get anything (including groceries).

For residents with school-aged children, there are more than a few options close to Infinity. For children who are pre-school aged, Waranara Early Education Center is three minutes down the road. Primary school aged children have a number of options: Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Primary School at Waterloo, Our Lady of The Rosary Catholic Primary School in Kensington, and Alexandria Park Community School, which also has a high school that students can attend. Other high schools in the area are Central Sydney Intensive English High School, Sydney Boys High School, Sydney Girls High School, and Green Square School, which caters to students aged 10 – 16 who have special needs.

Communal Facilities

Residents at Amara will have access to gardens in the central courtyard and two communal rooftop kitchens in the rooftop entertainment area, spread across 855 sqm. There will also be secure lawn areas, outdoor dining areas and sun lounges intended as a place to entertain family and friends, along with a communal herb garden, worm farm, stingless bee hive and picnic areas.
