UPDATE OCTOBER 2019: Fraser Cove is now completely sold out. Some lots are available through resale.
Fraser Cove is a development of 83 residential home sites. Most blocks are level and range in size from 450m² to 1,238m². Fraser Cove is being marketed toward all types of buyers, including first-home buyers, investors and downsizers, due to its location and the amenities close by.
Fraser Cove sits next to a large parkland and is only a few minutes walk to the Terranora Broadwater, jetty and boat ramp, and only a few more minutes from the Coolangatta beaches and local restaurants. The Tweed City and Banora Point shopping centres, recreational options and the Gold Coast Airport are also only a few minutes drive away.
All the civil works were completed back in October 2017, and the final land packages at Fraser Cove are for sale now. There are only eight lots remaining and available lots range from 604 square metres to 1,200 square metres. These lots are priced between $340,000 and $399,000 for the land, with additional complete home packages available. Unlike other house and land estates with tight restrictions on the type of home you can build, at Fraser Cove, you aren’t obligated to pick one of the home packages, or even work with one of their recommended builders.
Most of the blocks are flat, with some sloping blocks. The estate has lovely north-easterly district views that complement the area, without jacking up the price tag too much (like in some of the surrounding estates, situated just a few hundred metres closer to the water). Fraser Cove residential estate is suitable for first home buyers as well as downsizers or empty nesters who’ve been dreaming of that a coastal lifestyle. As with most new properties on the Tweed Coast, this estate definitely has an owner-occupier focus, rather than being investment geared.
We love…
But remember that…
The development sits at 57 Fraser Road in Tweed Heads South. It’s on the western side of the M1 highway and 700m away from parklands, Terranora Creek and the boat ramp. It’s 11 minutes from the Gold Coast Airport and less than 10 minutes to Coolangatta Beach. Club Banora Golf Club and surrounding restaurants are less than five minutes away, as is a large Bunnings and Banora Central Coles. Lindisfarne and Pacific Coast School are both within 10 minutes drive as well as Banora Point High School. There is already a great cafe, Carabean, just up Fraser Drive for Sunday morning breakfast with plans to add a convenience store just at the entryway to the estate. As a part of the master plan, The Villas Fraser Cove will be developed directly next to the residential estate, with 45 two and three bedroom villas for sale.

Fraser Cove development land averages out to 500 square metres per block, with sites as large as 1,238m². There are only eight lots remaining and available lots range from 604 square metres to 1,200 square metres. Frontage for remaining blocks is at least 14m.
Of the six home packages available in conjunction with land at Fraser Cove, most are four-bedroom homes suitable for families. All six have a double garage, a front porch and back alfresco area as well as a lovely foyer/entrance way. All except two are a single storey, with the main bedroom offering an ensuite with walk in wardrobe. With the dual-storey homes, all bedrooms are upstairs. There’s also plenty of built-in storage in all homes.
A few of the GJ Gardener floor plans have the main bedroom separate from the others, which is great for families with teens or first-home buyers looking to bring in roommates. With the kitchen, dining and family rooms all located near the alfresco area, these homes will be lovely and airy, making the most of the fresh sea breezes. Total floor areas range between 183m² to 289m².
The median house price in Tweed Heads is $696,000 with the average rental return on a three-bedroom home $495 a week. Fraser Coast properties are expected to fetch a little more than that, which would obviously depend on block size and house package.

Fraser Cove residential estate and The Villas Fraser Cove are Urban Edge Project developments. They’ve been in the industry for 25 years and focus primarily on the Gold Coast with a few previous projects based on the Sunshine Coast, too. Their other current development is Aqua North in Hope Island, which is also a dual project with land and villas.
The four GJ Gardner home packages have display homes at 380 Casuarina Way, Casurina. McGrath Real Estate is also able to organise inspections of the Fraser Cove development itself.
