Alondra Residences is a newly complete apartment development located in Nundah. The over-65’s-only development consists of 52 one, two and three-bedroom apartments in a variety of floor plan configurations.
All of the apartments, despite their differences in design and bedrooms, have a number of similarities. Each apartment has its own larger than normal balcony or private garden/courtyard, which helps the natural ventilation that has been purposely included in each apartment design (so you can make use of those cross-breezes coming off the nearby river!). Every apartment also has air conditioning and ceiling fans, drying areas, induction cooking appliances and extra storage. There is also at least one car park for every apartment.
Alondra Residences is in a great location for retirees and downsizers, given its proximity to a number of amenities. This includes shops like Nundah Village and Toowong Shopping Centre, and activity hubs like bowls clubs and bikepaths.

APRIL 2020: Construction at Alondra is now complete, with the hoarding down and the first residents moving into the development.
Located at 25 Union Street, Nundah, Alondra Residences sits next to Nundah Village, and 260 meters from St Paul’s Lutheran Church. A little further away, residents can find the Toombul Shopping Centre, which is home to over 140 different shops, restaurants and cafes.
The project is very well located, as a range of amenities are within walking distance. Both of the shops mentioned above are less than 10 minutes walk away, and other amenities close by include the Nundah Croquet Centre (600 meters away), the Nundah Train Station (650 meters) and the Toombul Train Station (450 meters). The Nundah Library, Prince of Wales Hotel, The Royal and the Nundah-Northgate RSL are all less than 15 minutes walk from the apartments. If you’re more into biking than walking, you’ll be relieved to know that Kedron Brook Bikeway is only a few minutes away, along with several cycling clubhouses.
Residents at Alondra will have access to a number of communal facilities. This includes a concierge and on-demand health services, along with a rooftop deck and BBQ area, several gardens and a library. The neighbouring aged care development, named Zion Aged Care, will provide aged care services to the apartments. There will also be a 24-hour emergency call system.
