The Lane Residences are a new apartment project located in the suburb of Wynnum, a suburb to the east of the Brisbane CBD. A display suite for The Lane Residences is located at Level One, 14 Proe Street, Newstead. It will remain open while the project is under construction, but interested parties will also be able to make appointments to view the construction site.

A new apartment development, The Lane Residences are a smaller project with only 16 apartments and one restored house, all of which have two or three bedrooms. The apartment building is being constructed around the existing house which is being restored, which gives this project a different look. The apartments begin with an open foyer,
Designed with open-plan living, dining and kitchen areas that connect to the larger-than-normal balconies, The Lane Residences have a focus on integrated indoor-outdoor living, which is evident in the aforementioned design details, along with the entertainer’s kitchens and ducted air-conditioning. Every apartment also has extra storage both inside the apartment, and in the basement storage room, which is great for downsizers or professionals.
There are a number of features we like in these apartments. All of the apartments have a separate laundry area or room. In the two-bedroom apartments, both bedrooms have their own walk-in wardrobes, although only the master has a connected bathroom. The three-bedroom apartments are designed so that the master sits on the opposite side of the apartment to the other bedrooms, offering more privacy to its occupants.
The Lane Residences are located at 10 Bay Terrace, Wynnum, across the road from the Waterloo Bay Hotel in Wynnum, overlooking Wynnum Creek. For downsizers this is an attractive feature with the restaurants and facilities of the Waterloo Bay Hotel literally at your door step. A Woolworths and Coles are close by on Wynnum’s high street, Tingal Road,and the Manly high street is ten minutes drive away, giving residents another place to shop and have breakfast and dinner. This means that residents have a number of easily accessible options for food and shopping on hand.
There are a number of public transport options nearby, including the Wynnum Train station and the Wynnum Central train station, both of which are less than five minutes walk from the new apartments — The Lane Residences are almost exactly in the middle of them. Driving to the Brisbane CBD is easy as well, using either the M4 or Wynnum Road to head west.
Of course, the area has a lot of places where residents can go to relax, catch up with friends, or have a good work out. If you like being on the water or just going for a swim, the Wynnum Jetty and Wading Pool are two minutes drive away. Both are known as great places to come with a family or by yourself to relax. There’s also five parklands within five minutes drive, and most have a playground for children — if not more, in the Kitchener Park. This parkland also backs onto the Wynnum Golf Course, so if that’s your preferred way to catch up with the boys, then its only eight minutes away.
Residents have access to a rooftop entertainment area with BBQ facilities and seating areas. This area is designed so that residents can use it to host events year-round, and as such has a retractable screen roof so it can be used in rain or sunshine.
Both the two and three-bedroom floor plans are larger than average and in general are well designed. As we mentioned above, balcony sizes are large and bedrooms are well separated, making it suitable for both investors and owner occupiers. The apartments have been designed to encourage cross-breezes, which is great because it allows residents to enjoy the weather and keep the power bills down.
All of the apartments will be finished in a neutral colour scheme, which is ideal because it allows residents to really make their mark on the space. The kitchen, which have thick stone benches and splash backs, are central features of the apartments, and are made to last. They are also rather large, which is something a chef of any caliber will appreciate.
