Revive Oceanside is a two-tower development located at 1 Bright Street, Birtinya. It has a range of one, two, three and four-bedroom apartments, arranged over the two towers. Revive Oceanside are generally high quality apartments that would suit owner-occupiers, however due to the close proximity to the new Sunshine Coast Hospital, it will also appeal to investors.

The Project:

Revive Oceanside is a Sunshine Coast development in Birtinya. The development consists of 60 apartments over two towers, with a combination of one, two, three, and four-bedroom apartments and penthouses.

The one bedroom apartments have 75 square metres of total space within them – this includes 21 square metres of balcony space. That amount of balcony space is an excellent feature for these apartments, especially given that some of these apartments face Lake Kawana. The large balconies integrate well and will make these apartments very livable. Given the shape of the building, many will promote cross breezes as well. With devoted study/work areas, the one bedroom apartments are very functional.

The two-bedroom apartments are also quite spacious. At 94 – 105 meters squared, they also have two bathrooms, one of which is an ensuite off the master bedroom. The balconies in these apartments range from 19 to 24 square metres. In most of the two-bedroom apartments, you’ll find the laundry in the other (non-ensuite) bathroom. We generally like this approach as it maximises floor space and also ensures the laundry environment (always a messy area of apartment living) is easily ‘hid-able’. Some of the two-bedroom apartments also include additional storage spaces and larger balconies.

Revive has a number of three-bedroom apartments. Ranging from 131 to 227 square metres, the three-bedroom apartments offer a range of ‘upgrade features’ to the smaller one and two-bedroom apartments. For starters, the master bathrooms include a bath and shower.  You’ll also find a devoted laundry room and a butlers’ pantry off the kitchen (except in the Type O floorplan which is dual key and has a two bedroom and one bedroom both with its own kitchen, bathroom, etc). Some of the three-bedroom apartments – and this really depends on how large the one you choose is – have a lot of extra storage spaces built in. This might make them ideal for downsizers with children who visit regularly, or growing families.

Finally, we have the four-bedroom apartments. With balconies ranging from 37 to 58 meters squared, these massive apartments have a total floor area of 189 to 213 square meters. The four-bedroom apartments are all quite different, due to layout, but some things remain constant across all of them. Increased storage, baths in the bathrooms and dedicated laundry rooms are the only constant, with some of the four-bedroom apartments having dedicated study rooms, and others having large butlers’ pantries.

There are also a range of amenities available for residents. The recreation area, equipped with barbecue facilities, peaceful reflection areas, and an infinity pool, create a space that is all about relaxation and being together with the other residents, friends and family. Location:

Located at 1 Bright Street, Birtinya, Revive Oceanside looks directly onto Lake Kawana. It is directly across the road from the new Sunshine Coast University Hospital. Caloundra is only 13 minutes drive away, and Mooloolaba is less than ten minutes away. What this means for residents is that the development is pretty centrally located on the Sunshine Coast.

If you didn’t know where Birtinya was, that is OK, we didn’t either. It is more commonly referred to as Kawana Waters, or even Lake Kawana. Birtinya is a very small suburb of only 2,000 people that makes up predominantly the ‘island’ part of Kawana Waters. Lake Kawana is the focal point of the entire suburb and really defines it.

Revive Oceanside is well position with the major road connecting the northern and southern suburbs of the Sunshine Coast, Nicklin Way, a short drive away. You can use this road, or the Kawana Way Link Road (and then the M1), to get you to Brisbane in less than an hour and twenty minutes, and to the Brisbane International Airport in an hour. As for public transport, its a brief walk to the closest bus station (located outside the hospital). With the huge number of people employed at the hospital, regular bus service is a feature of the location.

There is also a range of stores and cafes nearby. This includes a Raw Energy Cafe and Merlo Cafe. Within a six-minute drive, you also have stores such as Anaconda, Spotlight, and an Ezyfit Health and Fitness Club, to name a few. Birtinya is a rather small suburb, so you’ll find yourself entering the large and more developed neighbouring suburbs regularly.

The development is located close to a number of public and private schools, all of which are coeducational, and offer places from Kindergarten to Year 12. The closest school to the development is Pacific Lutheran College, which is only five minutes drive away. Meridian State College is also under ten minutes drive and Kawana Waters State College, is also easily accessible at only seven minutes drive away. Of course, the Sunshine Coast University Hospital is only 50 meters away, and the University of the Sunshine Coast (main campus) is 16 minutes drive away.

It is a short walk to the parklands surrounding Lake Kawana, which are very pretty and host a number of events throughout the year. This includes Dragon Boat racing and various rowing events! Other nearby attractions include the beach, which is only seven minutes away by car, and the Genoa Circuit Park, which is less than five minutes walk down the road.

Quality and Finishes:

Revive Oceanside has an overall high quality of finishes. Kitchens are contemporary and soft close drawers show high attention to detail. As we have pointed out balcony spaces are large and very usable.

Every apartment has tiled floors in the kitchen area and 100% wool carpets in the bedrooms. This is a nice touch, helping to both make the areas feel distinct and homely. The bathrooms have stone vanity tops, and Grohe tapware. The cabinetry throughout the apartment, which is two pack with timber look features, has a nice contemporary look and should wear and age well.

Body Corporate:

Body corporate fees at Revive change depending on the apartment and the tower. The South Tower starts at $224.78 and goes up to $302.23 for the first year. The East Tower starts at $241.32, and goes up to $325.04 for the first year.
