The Lanes Residences is a new apartment project on the Gold Coast nestled inside the largest master-planned development The Lakes in Mermaid Waters. The apartments have views over Lake Unity and are close to Hooker Boulevard and Southport Burleigh Road (via Lakeview Boulevard).
The Lanes Residences consists of a number of one, two and three-bedroom apartments that overlook Lake Unity. The four buildings the apartments are spread across include a number of floor plan options so that residents get the best views from their respective location. Sitting inside the larger 42-hectare development community known as The Lakes, The Lanes is in a great position for workers who need to commute to the Gold Coast CBD due to its proximity to both Hooker Boulevard and Southport Burleigh Road.
The residences will also link to the future retail village of The Lanes, which is expected to include cafes, restaurants, a fresh food market, and a number of different shops and office spaces.

Another apartment project that also offers great views is Mali Residences. Also on the Gold Coast, the apartment building will sit at the northern end of Mermaid Beach once complete. The apartments have both beach and park views and are generously sized with large balconies. Mali Residences is definitely geared towards owner-occupiers, with a lot of interest from downsizers. The design of the building is also a standout. Mali has been designed by BDA Architecture with a striking facade. The curved building sides are not only visually pleasing, emulating soft waves and sand dunes, but also serve a distinctive design purpose. The building’s shape helps to funnel breeze in through the building, keeping each apartment cool.

Construction has commenced at The Lanes Residences. The first stage of the project is expected to be complete in the second half of 2021.
APRIL 2020: As is obvious in the new construction images, several more levels have been added to The Lanes Residences since we last saw it in January. Tower A is expected to top out in May, with Tower B following closely behind. Glazing installation has commenced on the lower levels with internal framing and partitioning completed up to Level 2.

Located at the corner of Hooker and Lakeview Boulevard, Mermaid Waters, The Lanes Residences actually sits inside the larger ‘The Lakes’ development by Sunland Group. The newest apartments in the project sit close to Lake Unity, overlooking the man-made contribution to the space. It’s also close to Hooker Boulevard, which means residents have easy access in and out of the development.
Residents can benefit from the proximity of a smaller homemaker centre, which sits just around the corner. With this, residents have access to a Fitness First and restaurants like Arties Woodfired Pizza and Mermaid Grill and BBQ.
